  • Senior Manager, Business Development 07/08/2019 Singapore Full Time

    The Senior Manager will cover all aspects of pre-sales work and identify sales opportunities, formulate sales strategy and develop total solutions’ proposals.  The incumbent will identify critical success factors and obstacles for potential deals.

    Responsibilities:

    • Covers all aspects of pre-sales work including consulting to clients, supporting the sales team, case analysis, proposal delivery, product demonstration
    • Identify, position and champion NEC’s value proposition to prospective customers
    • Participate in the definition and implementation of the business strategy for the respective business unit
    • Drive initiatives and strategy to achieve assigned revenue objectives
    • Identify, review and forge partnership arrangement with key vendors in support of business model and business growth
    • Develop and implement the business strategy for each core activity to increase market awareness and market share
    • Develop and maintain cordial and effective customer and principal relationships
    • Develop existing business and identify/create new business portfolios to achieve set business objectives
    • Prepare sales forecasting and pipeline management
    • Prepare customer proposals, reply to tenders, RFP and RFQ
    • Prepare and deliver sales presentations that address the client’s needs and lead to sales growth
    • Conduct prospecting, cold calling, qualifying customers, making presentations, preparing proposals, following up and handling objections, closing sales and maintaining good relationship with the customers
    • Assist in annual budgeting and performance of the core activities
    • Any other ad-hoc duties as required or assigned

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent
    • At least 5 years of experience in selling and developing the business portfolio
    • Experience working with clients from the enterprise sectors is preferred
    • Prior experience working in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is desirable
    • Past experience in Cloud Solution Platform (SaaS) is an advantage
    • Sound problem solving ability in a sales environment and ability to qualify and close business
    • A business driver with excellent customer and people management skills
    • Understanding of competitive landscape for growing the business revenue and devising strategies and programs for success of the business
    • Detail-oriented, ability to track and organize information, data and communicate efficiently to ensure business issues are dealt with promptly
    • Ability to negotiate agreements and/or reach consensus with all levels and positions within the organization
    • Considerable knowledge of current trends and best practices
    • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
